Live Audio Technician

Hours: Part-Time

Location: Dayton, OH

Reports to: Event Marketing Manager

Lock 27 Brewing is looking for a Live Audio Technician to manage the audio and technical equipment of the live music program on our brewpub patio in downtown Dayton. We are looking for a detailed and technical minded individual to take on this role within our company.

This position is a contract role and includes work on (2) Saturday evenings a month from June to roughly September/October (weather permitting). This position will report directly to the Event Marketing Manager and will work closely with the brew pubs and the Director of Marketing.

Essential Job Duties:

Set up the PA system (already owned by company, see available equipment below)
Meet with artist and run through short sound check – ensure guests outside can hear and sound is muted for guests inside
Monitor PA throughout duration of show
Manage sound quality as outdoor environment changes
Break down PA system and store in stagebox

Required Skill Sets:

Proven experience as sound engineer
Technical expertise in sound engineering techniques (e.g. equalization)
Experience with sound editing and recording equipment (e.g. mixing consoles)
Excellent communication skills, exceptional hearing and manual dexterity
Strong attention to detail, impeccable problem-solving abilities
Able to move heavy objects weighing up to 50 pounds
