Lock 27 Brewing opens in Dayton near Fifth Third Field
Lock 27 Brewing opened its second location in the heart of the Water Street District. Located on two floors of the century old Delco building it occupies approximately 12,000 square feet of space. The new brewery and brewpub overlooks the public plaza at the main entrance Fifth Third Field, home to the Dayton Dragons, and serves as the craft beer brand’s main brewing operations.
The industrial aesthetic complete with concrete floors, exposed pipes, Edison light fixtures, and reclaimed wood feels appropriate for the hip, burgeoning area of the district. The center bar serves as a beacon for the brand’s signature and seasonal beers, while communal-style wood tables encourage conversation for groups of all sizes. Garage doors provide natural lighting to the space that can be opened during seasonal months. From the dining area, customers can catch a glimpse into the brewing production with tanks exposed through the floor leading to the basement where the brewing operations take place. The new location amplifies the brand’s focus on beer distribution as they can now be found on tap at several locations throughout the Dayton area and hope to further increase their reach to new markets.
